• Vintage Package

    The Vintage Package is a distressing technique that includes both sand-through and round-over treatments. The result is a cabinet that appears to be worn and has an antiqued appearance.

    Sand-Through

    A process where the final finish of the cabinet is slightly removed through sanding so that layers of stain and wood are exposed.

    Round-Over

    A process by which the corners of the cabinet are sanded to a smoother finish and eliminates any sharp contours.

    Cabinet is shown with glazing, however, glazing is not a part of the Vintage Package but may be added additionally.

  • Cottage Package

    The Cottage Package is a distressing technique similar to the Vintage Package in that both sand-through and round-over treatments are used; however, each technique is more severe which results is an antiqued and weather-worn cabinet.

    Sand-Through

    A process where the final finish of the cabinet is slightly removed through sanding so that layers of stain and wood are exposed.

    Round-Over

    A process by which the corners of the cabinet are sanded to a smoother finish and eliminates any sharp contours.

  • Rustic Package

    The Rustic Package is a distressing technique that includes Sand-Through and Round-Overs with Wormholes, Rasping, and Dings/Dents/Splits. The result is a completely custom cabinet that appears to have been worn and weathered.

    Rasping

    A process where a file is used on straight edges of the cabinet to alter the contours of the edges.

    Wormholes

    A process where sharp hand tools are used in various areas to give the appearance of small holes in the wood.

    Dings/Dents

    A process where various tools are used to physically distress the wood in a completely random fashion.

    Splits

    A process where the wood is physically distressed in order to simulate a natural split in the grain.

    Cabinet is shown with glazing, however, glazing is not a part of the Vintage Package but may be added additionally.

Specialty Finishes

Specialty finishes are meant to create the appearance of wear and tear that would naturally occur over many years.  This process is done by hand throughout the finishing process and produces a random appearance with varying degrees of severity on each cabinet and throughout the kitchen.
